UNIFORM and gear

YOUTH BUDOKAI (Black Gi)

The youth uniform is a black karate gi with the Kaijin-Ryu Karate patch sewn onto the left side of the chest.

Minimal gi weight for youth is 7oz. 

ADULT BUDOKAI (White Gi)

The adult uniform is a white, full contact style karate gi with 3/4 length sleeves. The Kaijin-Ryu Karate patch is sewn onto the left side of the chest. This is different than a traditional karate gi; it is a roomier fit (baggy), no jacket ties and is a kumite specific cut.

Minimal gi weight for adults is 12oz.

SPARRING GEAR (Youth and Adult)

• MMA Hybrid gloves with open fingers to retain the ability to grapple.
• Muay Thai style shin pads that extend over the top of the foot. 
• Combat sports specific mouth piece that can be heated and molded to fit.
• Gym Bag
• Personal, refillable water bottle
